Boat removed from her place of sale, bills all settled; worryingly she is now entirely our problem &#8211; I\u2019m fairly sure that I shouldn\u2019t be excited by this and am also quite sure it will come back to bite me on my ample derri\u00e8re. In the whole 3 hours we have been travelling, I\u2019ve moved the boat, moored up and managed to get the gas to work so we can put the kettle on. So far the only incident worth noting has been the \u2018finding of the keys\u2019 (I\u2019m using the voice of doom in my head as I type that!). I have to admit, Erin and I are feeling pretty smug, we\u2019ve moored just before a little bridge and are awaiting the return of the my car.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Sorry, I meant the return of Keith and the youngest daughter, not just the safe return of my car&#8230;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Verifying. Submerged. Second. The 3 little words generated by the three little words app and also, coincidently, also on the marvellous OpenCanalMap app (we are not affiliated in any way, I just like them because they work). All the user needs to do is type them into the app and there will appear a little map with that specific location. Genius. Not for my lot, apparently. Erin and I moored, identified our what 3 words and texted them to Keith and Millie. We sat back, ate some cake and waited. And waited. And waited a bit more. Eventually, we have a phone call: the what 3 words thing doesn\u2019t work, it\u2019s rubbish, I can\u2019t find you, where are you? On the canal, by Slab lane, Wheaton Aston. Where\u2019s that? I\u2019ve no idea but there is a pretty bridge and cows to my right in a large field looking far more contented than I\u2019m currently feeling. Where is Slab Lane? Wheaton Aston, look on a map. I don\u2019t have one.
