As a pair of full time NHS workers we clearly decided we were not busy enough so we bought a narrowboat \ud83d\ude31 with no idea what we are doing, no DIY skills and not a clue about the engine, we must have left our senses at work…<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
We have 2 lovely daughters, 4 occasionally lovely dogs and a budgie; this is why we needed a larger boat and have no money!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
She is gorgeous and I love her! A bit tatty around the edges but your boat should resemble you right? She is an ex-hire boat and 23 years old, incidentally the same age as the eldest daughter and nowhere near as expensive. She used to be called Golden Oriole but is now Erinillie – don’t worry, I offered a cider to the local canal goddess, checked for hedgehogs before prancing around in the nood and she will never be a sea going vessel!<\/p>\r\n
Over the past 2 years she has been slowly (for a variety of reasons) updated and she currently has a nearly working kitchen AND bathroom! I am beyond excited…<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
